The 2022 vintage of this well-priced wine scored "Best NZ Pinot Noir" at London's prestigous 2024 IWC awards, beating out such wines as Coal Pit, Valli, Rockburn, etc. The Brassknocker label is from the ridiculously well-awarded McArthur Ridge, and made by one of NZ’s leading Pinot winemakers Matt Connell. Connell has worked at Peregrine, Olssens, and for seven years as winemaker and manager at Akarua. The name Brassknocker comes from the glacial soils that form the exceptional terroir of the McArthur Ridge vineyards, where they also source the popular Southern Tor label. With juicy dark red fruit and a fine tannin structure, the Brassknocker Pinot is a knock-out option at this discount price.
