What The Critics Say

93/100 Wine Orbit, Sam Kim (2018 vintage)

"Fabulously fruited and pristine, the wine shows dark plum, sweet cherry, floral and subtle spice aromas on the nose, leading to a succulent palate that is supple and lingering. It is delightfully attractive and wonderfully composed with silky texture and fine-grained tannins, making it immediately appealing. At its best: now to 2022. $28.00. www.wooingtree.co.nz. July 2019." Drink 2019 - 2022

93/100 Carmeron Douglas MS (2018 vintage)

"Very bright and fruity bouquet bursting with aromas of fresh cherry and pomegranate, raspberry and rose. a lifted whole berry scent of bubble-gum adds a fleshy fruity layer and youthful charm. Varietal, plump, fresh, fleshy and fruity on the palate. Firm youthful tannins and acidity contrast, but remind also that Pinot Noir does need time to settle, relax and start maturing - this wine is just beginning. Chalky tannins, medium+ acidity, vibrant and youthful with a fairly lengthy finish."

4.5 Stars Michael Cooper (2017 vintage)

"Designed for early enjoyment, this single-vineyard Cromwell red is hand-picked and matured for eight or nine months in French oak casks. The 2017 vintage (4.5*) is deeply coloured, with fresh, plummy, slightly spicy aromas. Full-bodied and fruit-packed, it is sweet-fruited and supple, in a 'full-on' style with concentrated cherry, plum and spice flavours. Offering good value, it's already delicious."
