Its Origins
Azienda Agricola Conterno Fantino was established in 1982 by Guido Fantino and Claudio Conterno. The state-of-the art winery is located on top of a hill overlooking the old village of Montforte d'Alba, enjoying an extraordinary view stretching out around the arc of Alps. Conterno Fantino's range comprises a Barolo DOCG from Sori Ginestra, and several DOC wines from Langhe, Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d' Alba and a mono-varietal wine (Chardonnay). The style of their Barolo is modern, showing rich aromas and flavours, lush, soft texture and well-rounded tannins.

"The 2022 Langhe Rosso Monprà is a powerful, deep wine that will need a few years to come into its own. A blast of dark cherry, plum, mocha, sweet spice and a kiss of French oak all race across the palate. It offers terrific freshness to match the natural intensity of the fruit. Monprà remains a blend of equal parts Nebbiolo and Barbera that impresses for its balance and total harmony more than for the particulars of the blend.
