2015 Grahams Late Bottled Vintage Port

91 Points Parker's Wine Advocate
In stock
A softly rich yet defined LBV from Graham's. Here, wine from some of their finest fruit is aged in barrel a few more years than the 'vintage' bottling, thus giving the LBV a succulent depth and dimension and. thanks to extra oxidation in oak, softer and more rounded flavour. Released earlier than the vintage because it is much more ready-to-drink, this LBV Port is full of pleasure and pedigree. Vintage wine for a very low price!

What The Critics Say

91/100 Parker's Wine Advocate, Mark Squires

"The 2015 Late Bottled Vintage Port is a field blend bottled in 2021 with a bar-top cork and 110 grams per liter of residual sugar. This has all of those Graham's trademarks, including a bit of extra sugar at the end. It's not as powerful as the Symington Cockburn's was on opening, but at the end of the tasting, this actually showed more power. It is also far more elegant and suave, with a big aromatic hit of eucalyptus that makes it invigorating too. Then it is typically Graham's—meaning sweet and delicious. This is nuanced and very fine, an LBV with a bit of a distinction and a lot of everything. It should hold throughout the decade, probably more, but that's not really the point here." Drink 2021 - 2031

90/100 Decanter, Julie Sheppard

"Graham’s is marking its bicentenary with a commemorative LBV release, bottled in 2020. Aromas of black fruit and black spices (liquorice and star anise) lead to a luscious black-fruited palate, with bright notes of brambly hedgerow fruit and pomegranate. A seam of linear acidity adds freshness. A versatile Port for Christmas; no need to decant." Drink 2020 - 2030

92/100 Wine Enthusiast (2014 vintage)

"Perfumed and elegant, following the Graham house style, this is a balanced Port. It is poised between sweetness and a core of dryness both from tannins and restrained fruitiness. Being a Late Bottled Vintage, it can be drunk now, although it is likely it will be even better from 2021."
