Fallet Dart Rose Brut Champagne NV

A super-stylish Brut Rose Champagne from a boutique grower in the region. The Fallet family village of Charly-sur-Marne is one where the red grapes dominate, and here they are 100% of the blend. Pinot Meunier offering an effortless and charming fruit expression while Pinot Noir backs it up with velvet glove power. The colour comes from the difficult maceration technique, rather than from the usual added red wine. With an impressive 3-4 years ageing then another year of rest after disgorgement, this grower Champagne Rose is the real deal for a shockingly reasonable price.

Its Origins

The Fallet family comes from a long line of winegrowers that can be traced back to 1610. Claude Fallet and Pierre Fallet, nicknamed “the eldest”, are the earliest winegrowers found in the family papers. From 1903 on, Louis Fallet was awarded several prizes for the “elegance” of his wines and the mastery of his vineyard. From the start the Fallet family wanted to be a shining example amongst the champagne houses. Married in 1953, Geneviève née Dart and Gaston Fallet united their surnames to create the brand Fallet-Dart in 1970. From 1985 to 2016, Daniel and Gérard Fallet with Francine and Dominique, their respective wives, made the family business prosper. The family affair expanded from 5000 to 160000 bottles sold. The buildings were enlarged and the wines started earning themselves a name. Today, Adrien and Paul continue to perpetuate their forefathers’ values: originality and quality, innovation and respect for champagne traditions, to offer you champagnes with character that are renowned prizewinners worldwide.

What The Critics Say

94/100 Cameron Douglas

"This Fallet family have been producing exceptional Champagnes for decades and I can see [and taste] why. This wine has a beautiful bouquet and palate with scents of delicate rose and white strawberry, cherry and spice, then a core of autolysis suggesting some fresh baked goods then red apple skin and apricot. The mousse is light and refreshing, fine and chalky, the flavours of red fruits intensity on the palate yet still have a delicacy about them. Dry on the finish with a crispness and finesse, delicacy and charm. Best drinking, well - as soon as possible - its very good, from day of purchase through 2030."

Wine Enthusiast, Roger Voss

"This crisp Champagne is bright with apples and a light layer of tannin. The texture and fruitiness are balanced, finishing with some softness from the dosage. Drink now."

"Pretty, pale pink champagne with appealing weight and richness and a tease of strawberry flavour. Crisp, dry and refreshing wine that is delicious, and ready to drink, but should develop even more character with bottle age."
