2022 Pauletts Polish Hill River Riesling
Grape
Riesling
Its Origins
About 1 ½ hours drive north from Adelaide is the beautiful Polish Hill River sub-region of the Clare Valley , home of Paulett Wines. The area is blessed with a climate ideal for premium grape growing and the combination of consistently good winter rains, hot summers tempered by cool nights and a long ripening period. Neil and Alison Paulett purchased the property in 1983 and it has since expanded from the initial 47 hectares to 147 hectares with 25 hectares under vine.
What The Critics Say
93/100 The Real Review, Aaron Brasher (2021 vintage)
"Pale straw and bright in the glass. Lifted aromas of citrus blossom, lemon rind, white flowers and wet stone. Fine and focused on the palate, all citrusy and tangy with a lemony line of acidity. Power and precision right here. Very smart gear 06 FEB 2022." Drink 2022 - 2037
93/100 The Wine Front, Gary Walsh (2019 vintage)
"I like the grip and intensity on offer here. It’s green apple sorbet tang, some lime, lime rind, and vanilla, a pleasant green herb and quinine-like bitterness gives it a good old tweak, chalky texture, long firm finish. A little rugged in a way, but packed with personality and appeal."
