Deep Woods Estate was established in 1987 and acquired by the Fogarty family in 2005, making it part of the Fogarty Wine Group. Under the FWG banner, Deep Woods Estate has been transformed into one of Margaret River’s most awarded and highly regarded wineries. With its state-of-the-art winery, Deep Woods Estate is at the frontline of producers leading a new wave in Margaret River. With a talented team that combines traditional and modern winemaking techniques, Deep Woods has become arguably Australia’s best and most consistent producer of Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, as well as the biggest producer of Rosé in Western Australia.

"There’s always an intensity of fruit flavour but not at the expense of complexity or, in this instance, lots of savoury inputs. Flinty and a little funky with fennel and radish, and yes, stone fruit and citrus in the mix. It is chardonnay, after all. A neat layer of nutty lees, creamy, too, spicy, cedary oak neatly tucked in and the fine acid line that ties everything up ever so neatly." Drink 2023 - 2032

"Bright yellow with a touch of lime at the edges. White peach fruit and a touch of flinty reduction on the nose. Quite powerful in the classic Margaret River way but has ample fresh fruit and saline minerals to balance that. Acidity works in concert with a hint of phenolics to carry it long.
