2022 Chard Farm Judge and Jury Chardonnay

93 Points Richard Caro
In stock
A stylishly fine-boned Chardonnay made by Central Otago experts, Chard Farm. The Judge and Jury is sourced from some of the best fruit that is grown on steeper sites in their Viper and Tiger vineyards. The freshness and intensity of these flavours is captured by fermentation mostly in tank, while a barrel-influenced portion adds texture and complexity. A very complete wine for a modest price, the Judge and Jury is well worth a try.

What The Critics Say

Winemaker notes on current vintage

"An intense bouquet of green apple and ripe citrus is first up before more complex notes of white flowers, creaminess and wet stone are released. There is good intensity on the palate with rich citrus and apple fruits. Beautifully balanced and seamless the wine is extremely drinkable, with lingering citrus and nutty notes with a light salinity bringing some extra focus and purity."

94/100 Bob Campbell (2017 vintage)

"Quite a taut, tangy chardonnay in a Chablis-esque style with chalk, mineral, citrus, grapefruit, green apple and nutty yeast lees flavours. This wine is more about expressing site than winemaking prowess - and all the better for it 05 MAR 2019."
