A stylish and also dryish Pinot Gris from Hawkes Bay. Elephant Hill are masters of refined whites, and they nail this aromtaic variety every time. A touch of stonefruit and tropical juiciness is balanced against fresh acidity and mineral-mealy notes in a style which is refreshing yet complete, yummy yet elegant. One of the finer examples of this Hawkes Bay style -- try it!

Pinot Gris

Its Origins

Reydan and Roger Weiss first fell in love with the beauty of Te Awanga when visiting from Germany in 2001. Together they envisaged owning a state-of-the-art winery, merging the traditional values of wine making with an innovative approach and contemporary style to produce exceptional wines to savour and enjoy. With the majestic elephant as their namesake and nestled against a backdrop of rolling hillsides, Elephant Hill spans over 25 hectares of vineyards producing classical, aromatics whites and world-class reds, helmed by winemaker Steve Skinner.
