Mixed 6 - Schoffit Grand Cru Alsace Case

This epic 6 pack contains two of the finest wines in Alsace. Rangen is the most southerly vineyard in the region, and the only one to be entirely classified Grand Cru. It's epic 60% slope that faces due south sits on mineral rich volcanic soils between 300 and 450m. Despite its southerly aspect, Rangen is late-ripening, mainly due to its higher rainfall and cool winds which also make the site more prone to botrytis. The late-ripening terroir also increases power in the wines. Wines from Rangen are often described as having a ‘smoky’ taste. From one of the worlds steepest vineyard, these are not only likely the greatest Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer you'll ever try, they're also the most ridiculously cheap Grand Cru in all France.
