On the east side of Soave is the village of Terrossa, where the Franchetto family has lived for over a century. Antonio Franchetto continues his family’s long history of cultivating the traditional grapes of these lands: Garganega (used for this wine) and Pinot Grigio. Now his daughter is also at the helm bringing new vision to this quality focused winery.
What The Critics Say
90/100 Wine Enthusiast
"Intensely fragrant, this soft, savory white opens with heady scents of elderflower, citrus blossom and white stone fruit. The palate doles out ripe Granny Smith, white peach, green melon and Meyer lemon alongside tangy acidity. It closes on the barest hint of white almond."

"Roncà-Monte Calvarina cru. Terra rossa volcanic soils, basaltic rocks, with some calcareous alluvial soils in the southern edge. 35-year-old vines. Harvest in early September due to the warm vintage, that gave quality and quantity together.
Pale lemon-green. Ripe pear fruit with blanched almond and some subtle smoky mineral overtones. Brisk acidity, nice tension and some phenolic grip, smoky minerality, apple and pear fruit, and a saline touch to the finish. (TJ)." Drink 2019 - 2025

"Pear and toffee apple nose with a long and glossy palate overflowing with grapefruits, yellow plums and cedar. It matches extreme flavour intensity with finesse on a stupendously long palate. Another glass please."
