A gorgeous Rose chapagne from a house famous for its powerful and rounded, Pinot-led style. Composed of juice from 85% Grands and Premiers cru vneyards, this wine is based on the famous Non Vintage blend but with a richer colour derived from the addition of some of Bollinger's fine red wines. Classic and classy, the Bolly Rose offers special pleasures at a reasonable price.

Its Origins

Champagne Bollinger was established in 1829 and has steadily grown under family stewardship. A reputaion has been established for Pinot-dominant wines occupying the powerful end of the Champagne spectrum, with a large majority of fruit sourced from their own vineyards and undergoing fermentation in oak and extensive lees aging for texture. Bollinger is now among the leading exponents and reference points of this mouth-filling and 'masculine' style.

What The Critics Say

91/100 Decanter, James Button

"A very similar blend to the Special Cuvée. Creamy, steely red fruit scents display a mineral character supported by subtle woody depth. This is tight and fresh in the mouth, displaying pure red fruits, its oak backbone betrayed by notes of black pepper and its full texture."

91/100 Vinous, Josh Raynolds

"Bright orange-pink. Fresh red berries and tangerine on the spice- and smoke-accented nose and in the mouth. Sappy and expansive, offering juicy raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a touch of toasty lees. Tightens up on the long, mineral-driven finish, which leaves a chalky mineral nuance behind."

17/20 JancisRobinson.com, Tim Jackson MW

"Pale-medium salmon with some onion-skin tones. Subtle vinosity, dark-chocolate touches and coffee lees. Savoury and feels complete – made as a rosé, not an afterthought. Delicate mousse, wild strawberry and orange-citrus, oxidative apple, nutty-chocolate lees. Lovely length. Superior to the Special Cuvée. (TJ)." Drink 2019 - 2025
