Its Origins

Kate came to New Zealand after graduating from Roseworthy Agricultural College, South Australia in 1983. Her first job was with Vidal, part of the Villa Maria Group, where she learnt all the ropes of winemaking and fell in love with New Zealand cool climate wines. In 1991 she joined Pask Winery as Head Winemaker. During her acclaimed 26-year tenure, Kate became joint owner and Managing Director, before leaving to launch Radburnd Cellars in 2017.

What The Critics Say

96/100 Bob Campbell MW

"A favourable vintage and old vine Mendoza clone chardonnay have conspired to produce a wonderfully intense, lively wine that is a delight to drink. A seamless, vibrant wine that's deliciously accessible now but should develop well over the next few years. 29 APR 2021."Drink 2021- 2026

97/100 Wine Orbit, Sam Kim

"This is a stunning beauty; exquisitely composed and expressed showing nectarine, lemon peel, nougat, hazelnut and oatmeal aromas on the nose, followed by an impressively concentrated palate offering outstanding fruit purity combined with discreet oak infusion. It's refined and flowing to a persistent seamless finish. At its best: 2023 to 2031."
