"Bright straw-yellow colour with light golden hues and some depth, paler edged. The nose is elegantly presented with a finely concentrated heart of white and yellow stonefruits along with an amalgam of white florals, pears and herbs along with thirst-quenching minerals, revealing suggestions of nuts. Dry to taste, the palate is rich and lush with a rounded core of white stonefruits, florals, pears and minerals along with some honeysuckle. The mouthfeel shows depth and a degree of unctuousness, and soft acidity enhances the fruit richness. The wine flows smoothly a a layered and nuanced finish of stonefruits, florals and honey. This is a rich and luscious fruited dry Pinot Gris with stonefruit, floral, honeysuckle and minerals on an unctuous and smooth palate. Serve with Asian and Middle Eastern fare over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from the ‘Gibbston Back Road’ vineyard, half crushed to press and given skin contact, the remainder WBP.
