Its Origins
The words beach house say it all. This flat roofed, terracotta and blue adobe style cellar door building is not far from the sea at Te Awanga, set on a sun drenched piece of land humming with cicadas. Beach House are a highly dedicated tiny producer who each year puts out extremely good value Gimblett Gravel reds. Situated on the free draining Gimblett Gravels of Mere Rd, surrounded by such stellar vineyards as Mills Reef and Stonecroft, the vineyard is set up with close spaced vines and yields are kept to a minimum.

On the palate - a full bodied, rich style with flavours of oak and wood spices, dark fleshed yellow stone fruits, some citrus peel and cashew nut. Fine wood tannins and medium+ acidity.
