A superb white wine made from Central Otago Pinot Noir (with no skin contact), the Luminaire shows just a hint of light salmon colour. With subtle aromas and a nearly dry elegant palate, this is a refreshing wine to treat as either white or a Rose, and drink as either an aperitif or with fish and white meats. A rare and delicious style, this is one to try.

What The Critics Say

93/100 Sam Kim

"Made from 100% pinot noir, this is delightfully fruited on the nose showing ripe strawberry, stone fruit and floral characters, leading to a vibrant palate that is silky and refreshing. The wine offers elegant fruit intensity with fine texture, finishing long and flavoursome. $25.00. www.providorewines.com. Dec 2018." Drink 2018 - 2020

92/100 Bob Campbell MW

"The new wine brand of well-known Central Otago winemaker, Peter Bartle. This pale wine is made without any skin contact. Pretty pink rosé or 'Blush' style, with delicate flavours, a hint of sweetness and red rose petal, peach and spice flavours. A fresh, gently vibrant wine with an ethereal texture. 19/11/2018." Drink 2018 - 2021

18/20 Raymond Chan

"Very pale eye-of-the-partridge colour, near colourless on the rim. The nose is softly full and voluminous with ethereal aromas if delicate red florals and white stonefruits, with suggestions of cherry blossom, along with subtle notes of mouthwatering minerals. The aromatics show good vinous presence, with softness and concentration. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate has a firm core of delicately concentrated flavours of soft-red berry fruits with red floral notes and white stonefruits, and some mineral elements. The mouthfeel possesses light phenolic textures and grip with balanced lacy acidity which carries the wine to a light, nuanced, dry finish. This is a softly full and delicately fragrant, ethereal Blanc de Noir with red florals and white stonefruit flavours on a light, phenolic-textured, thirst-quenching palate. Serve as an aperitif, with canapes and with antipasto over the next 2 years. 100% Pinot Noir fruit from 3 vineyards in Bannockburn, hand-picked and WBP, and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 2.9 g/L RS. 664 cases made. 18.0/20 Nov 2018 RRP $25.00"
