The note of toasted sesame seeds and flinty smokiness was constant in many 2018s, including the 2018 Unus, a red blend of 65% Malbec, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot that feels quite Bordeaux-like, with good ripeness, concentration and balance. It has a serious palate with abundant, slightly chalky tannins and a long and dry finish. This should develop nicely in bottle.
