“Quality results from a large number of single and often tiny details,” says Alois Lageder. “In our daily dealings with wine, we are first of all concerned with respecting the harmonious interaction of many different factors, and with working in accord with nature.” The roots of the winery go back to 1823, when Johann Lageder laid the foundations in Bolzano for the activities in which they are involved today. Winemaking has been a part of the history of the Lageder family for more than a hundred and fifty years, and throughout that period of time they have always been committed to the highest standard of quality. Respect for nature is the highest priority, and is expressed through biodynamic viticulture.
What The Critics Say
4.5 stars Wine Orbit, Sam Kim
"This is what Pinot Grigio should taste like but seldom does, flavour of crisp apple and peaches with a hint of minerality and
flintiness that reflects the terroir of these ancient foothills that were once ocean. Dry, lingering finish."
