Its Origins
Grant and Helen Burge established the eponymous Grant Burge business in 1988. It grew into one of the largest family-owned wine businesses in the valley. In February 2015, Accolade Wines announced it had acquired the Grant Burge brand, and the historic Krondorf Winery. The 356ha of vineyards remain in family ownership, and will continue to supply premium grapes to the Accolade-owned business. -- James Halliday
