Its Origins
For the last 15 years, oenologist Xavier Vignon has become internationally known for being the winemaker of several of the best domaines in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the Rhone, such as Le Nerthe, Marcoux and Grand Veneur. In 2002 some friends (who are wine importers) asked him if he can create his own wine. Choosing amongst the best wines he has made, he creates Rhône wines of different vintages and appellations. His ideal wine is easy to understand, modern, powerful and great value for money. Before settling up in Rhône Valley, Xavier worked as a winemaker in Alsace, Champagne (Moët & Chandon), Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Burgundy and Languedoc-Roussillon.
What The Critics Say
89-91/100 Parker's Wine Advocate, Joe Czerwinski
"Medium to full-bodied, with excellent ripeness and concentration, the 2017 Cotes du Rhone boasts assertive blueberry and blackberry fruit. Somewhere between velvety and silky, it's a charming mouthful of Southern Rhône red."Drink 2019 - 2024
