87% cabernet sauvignon, 4% petit verdot, 9% malbec
Xanadu Wines was established in 1977 by Dr John Lagan. In 2005 it was purchased by the Rathbone family, and together with Glenn Goodall’s winemaking team they have significantly improved the quality of the wines. The vineyard has been revamped via soil profiling, precision viticulture, improved drainage and reduced yields. The quality of the wines made since the acquisition of the Stevens Road Vineyard in ’08 has been consistently outstanding.
What The Critics Say
92/100 The Wine Front, Campbell Mattinson
"Ripe and convincing. Violets, blackcurrant, smoked cedarwood and bay leaves. In the groove, in the zone. Nice lick of tannin, pretty good depth of fruit, and a sound, sure-footed finish. Very good value.87% Margaret River cabernet sauvignon, 4% petit verdot, 9% malbec, 25% new oak."
