Its Origins

Hecht & Bannier is a négociant-éleveur company, a joint venture founded and run by Grégory Hecht and François Bannier, who are based in Bouzigues on the north shore of the Bassin de Thau. Having met at Dijon University in 1993, they decided to join forces to buy, assemble and age complementary wines from the very best growers in selected Languedoc-Roussillon appellation areas to create fine wines that are truly expressive of the terroirs chosen. Increasingly journalistic recognition are at testament to the quality of Hecht & Bannier. The Hecht et Bannier Languedoc is produced with grapes certified organic by Ecocert FR-BIO-01, this wine is 100% matured in concrete tank to preserve its fresh, fruity aromas and flavors on the palate. Grapes are sourced from the village of Saint Chinian, Terrasses du Larzac in Languedoc and Vallée de l’Agly in Roussillon.

What The Critics Say

Parker's Wine Advocate, Jeb Dunnuck (2015 vintage)

"The value-priced 2015 Languedoc delivers on all counts. Aged all in concrete tanks, its deep ruby color is followed by classic notes of peppery herbs and juicy berry fruits. These carry over to the palate where the wine is medium-bodied, moderately concentrated, balanced and deliciously quaffable. It’s not going to make old bones, but it’s a perfect mid-week drinker."

Wine Spectator (2016 vintage)

"This polished red has a juicy core of glazed cherry and raspberry coulis flavors, marked with cassis, mineral and spice elements. Details of black tea and floral mark the clean finish."
