Hecht & Bannier is a négociant-éleveur company, a joint venture founded and run by Grégory Hecht and François Bannier, who are based in Bouzigues on the north shore of the Bassin de Thau. Having met at Dijon University in 1993, they decided to join forces to buy, assemble and age complementary wines from the very best growers in selected Languedoc-Roussillon appellation areas to create fine wines that are truly expressive of the terroirs chosen. Increasingly journalistic recognition are at testament to the quality of Hecht & Bannier. Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence vineyards are planted on a limestone plateau stretching from the North of the city up to the River Durance. Growers benefit from a mediterranean climate which favors farming in full respect of the environment and methods now understood as sustainable. With remarkable periods of sunshine and cool nights during the summer, best conditions are gathered here to produce complex and aromatic rosés.
What The Critics Say
"Ripe wild strawberry aromas, with some lees and hints of leafiness.Very complete and lovely wine with a great deal of finesse."
90/100 Parker's Wine Advocate, Joe Czerwinski
"To the firm's credit, Hecht & Bannier does a nice job distinguishing the styles of their three rosés. The 2017 Cotes de Provence Rosé is a plump, medium-bodied effort, marked by crisp, citrusy fruit. Passion fruit and grapefruit nuances give it a zippy, refreshing finish." Drink 2018 - 2019
90/100 Wine Enthusiast
"Leading negociant Hecht & Bannier has produced a ripe, smooth style of rosé. Immediately drinkable, it has a generous texture, warm red-berry fruits and balanced acidity, everything in its place. Drink now."
