The establishment of Sandalford Wines in 1840 coincided with both the first European settlement at the Colony of Perth and birth of Western Australia's world famous wine industry.
In 1970, the Company was one of three initial pioneers of the Margaret River wine region (275km south of Perth and today considered by many as one of the world's truly great premium wine growing appellations) when the first vines were planted at its 300 hectare vineyard located there.
What The Critics Say
94/100 Halliday's Australian Wine Companion, James Halliday
"The back label is crammed with microscopic print. A savoury, textured cabernet, blackcurrant intermingling with tannins and foresty notes from the word go. Still very youthful." Drink by 2031
90/100 Toni Patterson
"A beautifully perfumed nose with excellent varietal and regional clarity. Bright redcurrants, fragrant blackberries plus a touch of discreet cedar. The tannins are fine and cultured, and the flavours are satisfyingly long. It has been built for ageing so tuck into the cellar for a few years before drinking, or if serving young pair it with food 20 AUG 2018." Drink 2018 - 2027
