Gorgeous but deeply 'serious', pink wines from the sun-blessed French village of Bandol are legends in Rose and the premium option in Provençal style. Delicate in colour, dry and perfectly balanced, this offers charming nuances of earthy spice from the local Mourvedre grape, with the graceful tones of Grenache and Cinsault in support. No matter what wine you serve at your summer dinner table, this premium Rose will be favourite.

Its Origins

Hecht & Bannier is a négociant-éleveur company, a joint venture founded and run by Grégory Hecht and François Bannier, who are based in Bouzigues on the north shore of the Bassin de Thau. Having met at Dijon University in 1993, they decided to join forces to buy, assemble and age complementary wines from the very best growers in selected Languedoc-Roussillon appellation areas to create fine wines that are truly expressive of the terroirs chosen. Increasingly journalistic recognition are at testament to the quality of Hecht & Bannier. The Hecht et Bannier Languedoc is produced with grapes certified organic by Ecocert FR-BIO-01, this wine is 100% matured in concrete tank to preserve its fresh, fruity aromas and flavors on the palate. Grapes are sourced from the village of Saint Chinian, Terrasses du Larzac in Languedoc and Vallée de l’Agly in Roussillon.

What The Critics Say

Winemaker notes on 2016 vintage

"Intense and aromatic, the wine offers the aroma and flavor of blood orange, grapefruit and dried apricot. It brings volume, roundness and freshness to the palate. With bottle age, after five years, the wine will gain in richness, power and depth. In Aix-en-Provence, we pair this wine with typical provençal dishes: fresh grilled tuna and bottarga, gently fried zucchini flowers or perhaps a puree of chickpeas with spring garlic and saffron or a fritto misto."

Wine Spectator (2014 vintage)

"A plump, weighty rosé, featuring white cherry and white raspberry notes, carried by wet stone and savory details. Shows enough zip through the finish for balance, with the savory edge lingering."
