A classy Chardonnay from the Burgundy-like reaches of the Northern Willamette Valley, Oregon. Named after the soils of glacial sediment ("moraine") that sweeps through this unique region, the Yamhill Cartlon Chardonnay offers a deliciously elegant and restrained expression of the American style, while harmoniously integrating its succulent and mouth-filling elements. A new import and a must-try for serious Chardonnay lovers -- stocks of this beauty are low.

Its Origins

Gran Moraine is part of the Jackson Family Wines portfolio. Taking its name from the glacier movements in the last ice age, the Missoula Floods deposited glacial sediment (moraines) in the northern Willamette Valley. Located in the heart of the Yamhill-Carlton AVA in the Willamette Valley, Gran Moraine produces Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from a 190-acre estate vineyard.

What The Critics Say

92+/100 Parker's Wine Advocate, Erin Brooks

"The 2016 Chardonnay Yamhill-Carlton has a lovely open nose of spiced apples, acacia honey, lemon cream, toast and dried white flowers. Medium-bodied with a great creamy texture, it fills the mouth with layers of honey toast, cream, ripe orchard fruits and spice, with great mouthwatering acidity and a long floral finish. 2,130 cases produced."
