Merlot, Cabernet Franc
Château Rozier is a 23-hectare family-owned right bank estate which produces traditional Saint Emilion from vines which are on average 45 years old. Grapes are manually harvested and owner Jean-Bernard Saby and his two sons are all oenologists who take great pride in the wines they produce. It is classified as a St Emilion Grand Cru. The vineyard consists of plots in 4 different communes and the wine is typically a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and the wines are matured in oak barriques (50% new) for 12 months.
What The Critics Say
16.5/20 JancisRobinson.com, Jancis Robinson
"Salty and fun. Lots of raciness and richness. Without being over the top. Nicely angular, great balance." Drink 2021 - 2034
89-91/100 Parker's Wine Advocate, Neal Martin (2015 vintage)
"The 2015 Rozier has a simple but fresh bouquet with crushed strawberry and cranberry scents wafting from the glass. The palate is well balanced with succulent red fruit, fleshy with good body. Delicious Saint Émilion to savor over the next 6-8 years." Drink 2018 - 2026
