Its Origins

For the last 15 years, oenologist Xavier Vignon has become internationally known for being the winemaker of several of the best domaines in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the Rhone, such as Le Nerthe, Marcoux and Grand Veneur. In 2002 some friends (who are wine importers) asked him if he can create his own wine. Choosing amongst the best wines he has made, he creates Rhône wines of different vintages and appellations. His ideal wine is easy to understand, modern, powerful and great value for money. Before settling up in Rhône Valley, Xavier worked as a winemaker in Alsace, Champagne (Moët & Chandon), Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Burgundy and Languedoc-Roussillon.

What The Critics Say

91/100 Parker's Wine advocate, Jeb Dunnuck (2014 vintage)

"Shockingly good and a wine to seek out, the 2014 Côtes du Rhône is 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre and 15% Syrah that was brought up in a mix of barrels and concrete tanks. Jammy black cherries, blackberries, ground pepper and bouquet garni emerge from this rich, decadent, loaded 2014 that’s perfect for drinking over the coming 2-4 years."
