A premium Oregon Pinot Noir made under the auspices of a top Burgundy house. Sourced from local growers and selections from the estate's top vineyards, the Willamette Valley label is delicious in style and accessible in price. Offering a classic expression of dark red fruits with infusions of herbal and dusty minerals, it is both lush and complex. A great Pinot to decant now or age.

Its Origins

Resonance is a highly respected vineyard in Yamhill-Carlton, Oregon, acquired by the Burdundy house Louis Jadot in 2013. Resonance is a 20-acre family-owned vineyard located just west of Carlton on the edge of the Coast Range. At 32+ years of age in the oldest blocks, the own-rooted vines are yielding profoundly complex wines. New owner Maison Louis Jadot is one of the most venerable, most trusted and revered wine houses. Jadot’s winemaking team, now led by Technical Director Frédéric Barnier, has maintained a balance of tradition and technology in winemaking that allows Jadot’s wines to express the subtle differences between terroirs that are the essence of fine Burgundy. Though officially retired in 2013, esteemed winemaker Jacques Lardière continues to work in an advisory role and on special projects. Founded in 1859, the house has grown through a long-term policy of acquisition or management of exceptional vineyard lands and owns 528 acres of vineyards, including nearly 280 acres of the Cote d’Or’s most prestigious Premier and Grand Cru plots.

What The Critics Say

92/100 Wine Enthusiast

"Maison Louis Jadot's Willamette Valley project continues to bear fruit and has increased the production of this entry-level cuvée. A lovely, chunky mix of purple and black fruit, it's beautifully proportioned, with plenty of power, lacking only the depth of the older estate vines. It finishes on a lacy note of minerality." 92/100 Parker's Wine Advocate, Neal Martin (2014 vintage)

"The Résonance 2014 Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley, the second release from Louis Jadot in their new venture in Oregon, was vinified at Trisaetum, and as far as I am aware will continue that way until their own winery is up and running. It is a strong follow-up to their debut 2013. It is a blend of grapes coming from different vineyards from the Willamette Valley, including Rẻsonance, Dẻcouverte and others. The bouquet is bestowed with ample brambly red berry fruit, perhaps a little "fuller" than the 2013, but with fine definition. The palate is well balanced with a similar fruit profile to the first release, perhaps just showing a little more edginess, a Pinot Noir that in a funny way expresses the wealth of knowledge behind it. Jacques Ladière, the eternal retiree, has crafted another delicious Pinot Noir that is going to win a lot of fans. Maybe one or two in Burgundy perchance?" Drink 2017 - 2027
