A top quality California Chardonnay that is packed with delectable, classic flavours. From the prized area of Sonoma Coast, this is made and with 100% malolactic (buttery) fermentation and a good amount of new oak. The result offers real Chardonnay satisfaction while staying classy, long and shapely. A knock-out classic of the style.

What The Critics Say

94/100 Wine Orbit, Sam Kim

"This is powerful and refined at the same time, displaying complex aromas of ripe stone fruit, rockmelon, vanilla, lemon curd and toasted hazelnut on the nose. The palate is concentrated and impressively weighted, and shows layers of rich texture and delectable flavours, wonderfully enhanced by creamy texture and seamlessly integrated acidity. Super long and super tasty. At its best: now to 2020. $38.00. NZ Distributor: Eurovintage. Jan 2017." Drink 2018 - 2020

5 Stars Raymond Chan (2012 vintage)

"Brilliant, light golden-yellow colour with straw hues, paler on edge. The nose is softly full and voluminous with harmoniously integrated layers of ripe yellow stonefruits melded with nutty oak and lemon curd MLF, unfolding creamy barrel-ferment and complexing oxidative detail with aeration. Medium-full bodied, rich and luscious flavours of ripe and juicy stonefruits are the feature on palate. An array of complexing nuances unfold, showing nutty oak, butterscotch, lemon curd and creamy barrel ferment characters. The mouthfeel is rich and smooth flowing with some alcohol power driving the palate. Soft, ripe acidity adds to the roundness, and the wine carries through to a long, lingering, elegantly dry finish. This is a rich, up-front, creamy Chardonnay with layers of stonefruits, nuts and butterscotch flavours. Match with poultry, pork and veal over the next 4 years. Fruit from Sonoma County, from sites in Carneros, Chalk Hill, lower Sonoma Valley and Alexander Valley, the wine 77% barrel-fermented to 14.5% alc., and aged 7 months in 40% new French oak, undergoing batonnage and 100% MLF."
