The Nocentini family have been producing their wine on the grounds of their farm/winery since 1831. The quality of the soil, selection of grape varieties, hand-picking, limited production and maturation in small oak barrels (French barriques) contribute to the final effect and give all the Tiberio wines interesting flavours, high quality and recognition not only from wine experts or wine lovers but specially and most importantly from usual wine drinkers. Tiberio vineyards are located on the hills of central Tuscany (Loro Ciuffenna – Terranuova Bracciolini), on the Wine Road of the land of Arezzo (La Strada del Vino Terre di Arezzo) and on the border of the famous Chianti region. All Tiberio wines are produced exclusively with grapes from Tiberio Vineyards, hand-picked and without use of yeasts or enzymes.
What The Critics Say
91+/100 Vinous, Ian D'Agata
"Medium bright ruby. High-pitched aromas of red cherry, blood orange, botanical herbs, tar and stony minerality on the fragrant nose. Initially plush on entry, then fine-grained, sappy and sharply delineated, displaying a light touch to the red berry and spicy flavors. Closes with ripe tannins and bright floral reminders. Winemaker Cristiana Tiberio has a knack for pulling out tannins from Montepulciano grapes that are finer than most."
