A deliciously fresh, semi-sweet and light-bodied frizzante sparkler. Not to be mistaken for lesser bubbles with 'Asti' on the label, the proper Moscato d'Asti DOCG is an impossibly enjoyable treasure that's often over-looked outside Italy. From a top Barolo producer, this one is the real deal and a perfect wine for an afternoon aperitif or - we won't say breakfast - but a very early brunch.

Its Origins

After working with Marcarini in La Morra, Elvio Cogno returned to his family village in 1990 to rebuild an historical farm into the home of one of Piedmont's more important Barolo producers. Now daughter Nadia and her husband Valter Fissore are the force behind the rising fortunes of the house, producing strictly classic wines with modern cleanliness and technique, low yields and sustainable, closely managed vineyards.
