Yet again Craggy nail elegance. With almost no jammy notes from this legendary hot year, the earthy bramble fruits are ripe but fresh, bright and aromatic. Held up by perfect acidity and tannins, this finer style is about that delicate floral and savoury stuff Pinot does so well. Beautiful now with food, but we suggest putting the other five bottles aside to drink at your chosen intervals. Stunning.

Its Origins

Craggy Range began with the desire to create a legacy. When Terry Peabody visited New Zealand in 1997 he was introduced to Steve Smith, MW. Terry sensed an exciting possibility in New Zealand; the exceptional climate and spirit of the people aligned with his own philosophy and desire to cut a new path. He wanted to create wines that would become internationally regarded as New World classics. The two men made an important decision from the beginning - to select and source the best land in the country, and to plant the vines perfectly suited to that soil and climate. The winery - one of the most technically advanced ever built in New Zealand - is known for uncompromising standards and meticulous craftsmanship.
