When Bill Foley founded Lincourt in 1996, the Sta. Rita Hills region of Santa Barbara County was largely undiscovered. Today it is one of California’s most coveted, cool-climate viticultural regions. Lincourt’s wines are produced entirely from two estate vineyards within the AVA. They are rolling, hillside sites that offer “limiting” soils, large diurnal temperature swings and long, long growing seasons. The wines are rich, structured, fruit forward and regionally exact.
What The Critics Say
89/100 Wine Enthusiast
"This stainless-steel take shows lime juice, golden apples and white pepper on the lean but ever-so-slightly warm nose. The palate is driven by a citrusy bitterness, showing tangerine peels and more squeezed lime throughout."
Wine Spectator, James Laube
"Clean and refreshing, with snappy lemon, grapefruit, green apple and pear flavors that are juicy, elegant and easy to enjoy."
Wine Orbit, Sam Kim
"It is restrained on the nose showing grapefruit, fresh apple, lemon peel and flint characters. The palate delivers delicate fruit intensity with subtle savoury flavours, backed by firm acidity, finishing long and mouth-watering. $26.00."
