Its Origins
Pascal Marchand, a Quebecker, came to Burgundy in 1983. After working a solid 15 vintages at the very famous Domaine Comte Armand, and a stint at Domaine de la Vougeraie, he then fulfilled his dream of becoming a renowned wine grower himself. In 2006, he became a micro-negociant. Today many great wines carry his name, and he also makes wine in Australia under the Marchand & Burch label. His vineyards are all treated with respect, and are either organic or biodynamic.
What The Critics Say
91-94/100 Stephen Tanzer
"Deep, bright red with ruby highlights. Inviting aromas of cherry liqueur, dark raspberry and spices; smells deep. Very rich, sappy and concentrated, with terrific energy and a layered texture to the dark fruit and spice flavors. Shapely, vibrant wine with a long, bright finish."
