Pinot Blanc

From vines 40-60 years old. The grape itself is very similar to Chardonnay in appearance and taste. Its taken a back seat to its close cousin because of consumer demand for chardonnay but good pinot blanc puts chardonnay to shame. A fantastic food wine it's weighty with a silky texture and flavours of nectarine, beeswax, orange peal and a touch of cinnamon.

91/100 from Parkers Wine Advocate "The 2009 Kerner Estate Marlborough Pinot Blanc has ripe tropical aromas with some wild yeast notes, apricots and poached pears plus a whiff of meal. Full bodied and medium-dry it has plenty of rich savory / toasty flavors in the mouth, a satiny texture and a good long finish. Drinking now, it has some capacity to age and should cellar to 2015+."
