2010 Gaba do Xil Godello

One of Metro Magazine's 100 Wines for Summer "Godello is an old Spanish variety that has recently been rediscovered and is creating a lot of excitement. this is an uncomplicated, gentle introduction to its delights, with subtle stonefruit or tropical fruits characters, moderate acidity and a textured, fuller mouthfeel, not unlike chardonnay. Just off-dry, it's a great match with summer seafood or for sipping by the beach on a hot day".

2005 Muga Torre Muga 6 btl Wooden Gift Pack

Beautifully presented in a wooden gift box containing six bottles of Torre Muga. Torre Muga is an unfiltered blend of 75% Tempranillo, 15% Mazuelo, and 10% Graciano. Aged 22 months in large (18,000 liters) American oak vats, followed by 16 months in new French oak, and bottled without fining or filtration."Exotically perfumed,syrah-like bouquet of red and dark berries, violet, smokey bacon and graphite, with vanillin oak spice undertone adding an exotic touch.Fleshy,palate-staining cassis and bitter cherry flavours are brightened by piquant minerality and firmed by fine-grained tannins.Cracked pepper and mace qualities come up on the long, silky finish.Extremely suave and strikingly complex wine with excellent balance."

$630.00

2007 Muga Riserva Rioja

Our most popular Rioja. "Muga’s red wines begin with the Muga Reserva, a blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, with the balance Mazuelo and Graciano. It was aged for 6 months in wooden vats before spending 2 years in 60% new French and American oak. "A complete modern Rioja with cola, cassis and smoky aromas. Excellent mouthfeel and toasty black fruit and licorice flavors work well together, and the finish is refined, warm and peppery. Not an overly lush wine but it is generous and loaded with a bit of everything good: body, tannin, acidity, flavor and complexity." Parker

2001 Artadi Rioja Grandes Anadas

SOLD AS 6 BOTTLE ORIGINAL WINE CASE (equivalent to $400/bottle)

The prodigious, inky/purple-colored 2001 Grandes Anadas marries elegance with tremendous power and flavor intensity. It represents Spain's version of Comte de Vogue's Musigny ... in a top vintage. Aromas of spice box, violets, raspberries, blackberries, plums, cherries, and an undeniable minerality are found in this structured, ripe, phenomenally intense red. The finish exceeds one minute, yet it gives the impression that it is not close to being mature. While it offers plenty of enjoyment now, ideally it should be given 3-4 years of cellaring and consumed over the following two decades. 98/100 - RP

$2,400.00

2010 Castillo del Baron

"The 2010 Monastrell is a savory, ripe, easy-going effort with plenty of chewy black fruit. Drink it over the next 2-3 years" Parker. Made by one of Yecla's leadingproducers, Castillo del Baron's Monastrell is an explosion of fresh, ripe red and black fruit, with a warm Mediterranean spicy/earthy twist. On the palate, the wine is soft and fruity, and very well-framed by crisp natural acidity. The finish is clean and harmonious.

$17.99

2001 Remirez de Ganuza Rioja Gran Reserva

One of the quality leaders in Rioja, Bodegas Fernando Remirez de Ganuza has produced superb wines in the more difficult 2003 vintage and the idyllic 2004 vintage. Both vintages are composed of 85% old-vine Tempranillo, 10% old-vine Graciano, 3% old-vine Garnacha, and 2% other. The wines are estate grown and bottled from 4 parcels with age ranging from 34 to 97 years. The wine is aged for 2 years in French and American oak prior to being bottled unfined and unfiltered.

$140.00

2009 Castano Hecula Monastrell

"The 2009 Hecula is 100% Monastrell grown in Jumilla and aged in French and American oak. Expressive aromas of underbrush, brier, mineral, lavender, and blueberry lead to a savory, ripe, nicely proportioned red with excellent volume and length. It is an outstanding value for drinking over the next 4-5 years." 90/100 Parker

$21.99

2004 Artadi Rioja Vina El Pison

SOLD AS 6 BOTTLE ORIGINAL WINE CASE (equivalent to $400/bottle)

The 2004 Vina El Pison is purple/black in color with an ethereal bouquet found only in the greatest wines. Vanilla, spice box, truffle, wild blueberry, black raspberry, and blackberry liqueur are descriptors that come to mind but which cannot really convey the other-worldy nature of this perfume. On the palate, it is opulent, beautifully delineated, elegant and powerful all at the same time. Impeccably balanced and amazingly long, this wine is a pleasure to drink now but will still be providing pleasure 40-50 years from now (with good storage). Kudos to Bodegas Artadi for this tour de force! 100/100 - RP

$2,400.00

2005 Remirez de Ganuza Rioja Reserva

"However, the 2005 Reserva has considerably more stuffing and should easily outdistance the 2006. It is a glass-coating opaque purple color with an already complex perfume of floral, mineral, spice, and black fruit elements. Dense and packed, this structured but impeccably balanced offering will evolve for 8-10 years and have a 30+ year lifespan."95/100 Parker Bodegas Fernando Remirez de Ganuza is one of Rioja’s benchmark estates. It encompasses about 132 acres located in four regions of Alava Rioja planted to approximately 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano

$140.00

2009 Santo Cristo

"The 2009 Santo Cristo Seleccion Garnacha (bottled in screw up, still a rarity in conservative Spain) is one of them. Dark ruby red in color with a fragrant perfume of pure cherries, on the palate it is savory, easy-going, and a terrific value for drinking over the next 3 years".Parker There are some tremendous values to be had in old-vine Garnacha in the sparsely populated DO of Campo de Borja.
