One of Metro Magazine's 100 Wines for Summer "The spicy, perfumed nose is unusual, and attractive, while the mouthfeel is surprisingly well textured for the price, and the finish is good. A fresh, off-dry wine for everyday drinking". Also Gold at Air NZ and Trophy at NZ International Wine Show

Normally $45. One of Metro Magazine's 100 Wines for Summer. 5 Stars and Top 10 in the Cuisine Pinot Noir Tasting, 90+/100 from Parkers Wine Advocate and 90/100 by Bob Campbell who writes Aromatic Pinot Noir with a savoury edge to ripe plum and dark cherry. Moderately dense and richly textured wine with a lengthy finish. A nice mix of rustic tannins with sweet and rather elegant fruit. Quite a distinctive and appealing style.
Cuisine write "Nothing amiss with Amisfield's current release. A languid silkiness characterises the texture; plums , spice and dried herb flavours are supported by rich tannins and superb acidity. Definitely a sleeper that will reward five years in the cellar." Another quality Amisfield product.

Beautiful delicate pink salmon colour that the good french bandol roses attain. Carol Bunn, the winemaker maintains minimal skin contact is the answer together with good quality fruit and a focus on rose as a serious wine- not a by product!. The 2011 vintage was made from estate-grown Pinot Noir, hand harvested in the Cromwell Basin, Central Otago, and 20% fermented in seasoned oak casks. Pale pink, it is mouthfilling, with fresh, strong stawberry, spice and peach flavours and a slightlly creamy texture.

Pale pink in colour with lifted strawberrys, raspberries, candied apples and cream on the nose, with flavours of red berries, nectarine, pears and a hint of creme brulee on the palate. Great summer buying from an excellent producer.

Normally $112. Only 150 six packs of this wine was made. "Attractively scented wine with delicate floral and cherry aromas. It has a toasty/savoury influence on the palate plus a slight “wild herbs” (or it it thyme?) character on the palate. A layered, complex wine from a good vintage. Ageing well but with potential." 93/100 Bob Campbell.
Rocky Knoll is in effect their first Grand Cru vineyard at Amisfield. It is a block within a block, delineated by its soil type, aspect and slope. It is planted to 100% Dijon clones and sits on an east/west oriented ridge with about 2/3 of the vines facing due south, away from the sun. The north facing zone, called zone 5, faces into the sun and yet is picked last reinforcing the fact that Pinot Noir quality is not directly related to heat accumulation. The soils are semi-arid, glacial moraine with large stones on the surface. These stones absorb sunlight during the day and re-release their heat at night. This in turn keeps the vines slightly warmer at night allowing for slightly higher respiration, which expresses itself in slightly lower acidity, higher colour intensity and riper, sweeter tannins at harvest. The 2006 is the first opportunity to make a single vineyard wine from this block since 2003 and they havent released another vintage after 2006 either. Nice to get a great deal on this top aged pinot noir.

Dry rose produced from predominately Pinot noir fruit. “Sophie’s Rose, so named after Sophie Findlay of Zambesi who helped design INVIVO’s unique branding, is alluring at first glance. The wine has Beautiful Rose petal colour and aromas for crushed strawberries with a hint of tropical fruit and citrus. The palate is vibrant and full in the mouth with pronounced berry and citrus and sweetness only to balance acidity.
