SOLD AS A 6 BOTTLE ORIGINAL WOOD CASE
"The 2007 Ausone is a candidate for one of the wines of the vintage, rivaling Pavie and Lafite Rothschild. Its deep ruby/purple hue is accompanied by a beautiful nose of spring flowers, raspberries, black currants, and crushed rocks. The wine is dense, medium to full-bodied, and pure with sweet tannin as well as a surprisingly evolved, forward style. It is one of the few Ausones I have tasted that can be drunk with great pleasure at this stage, yet it promises to evolve for two decades. Drink 2010-2030." 94/100 Robert Parker

SOLD ONLY IN A 12 BT ORIGINAL CASE
"Another titanic effort from the Delon family, the 2005 Leoville Las Cases is probably the greatest wine made at this estate since Jean-Hubert Delon’s father produced the 1986 and 1996. Only 37% of the production made it into the 2005, a blend of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with less than 13% Merlot and Cabernet Franc. An inky/ruby/purple color is accompanied by reticent aromatics that, with considerable coaxing, offer up subtle notes of toasty vanillin intermixed with lead pencil shavings, wet rocks, and enormously ripe, intense black cherry and creme de cassis. The wine hits the palate with a full-bodied, layered mouthfeel as well as enormous extract, concentration, and purity. This ageless, monumental claret requires a minimum of 15-20 years to approach maturity, and should last for a half century. It is about as classic a Leoville Las Cases as one will find. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2060 98 Parker

'Since 2002, this great terroir has been fully exploited by the dynamic duo of Nicolas Thienpont and Stephane Derenoncourt. Following the monumental 2005,a legend in the making, it is hard to get excited about the 2006, even though it is an outstanding effort. While more austere and not as concentrated as its predecessor, it is an impressive blend of 89% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc displaying a deep, dark ruby color as well as a striking bouquet of powdered rocks/minerals, sweet cherry and plum-like fruit, and hints of Christmas fruitcake and spice box. It is an elegant, medium-bodied, moderately tannic, pure effort possessing outstanding density. Give it 2-3 years of bottle age and drink it over the following 15-20 years.'91 PARKER

Last year this wine came top in the Wine Spectator Magazine Tasting for 'Best Value Portugese Wine' out of hundreds of wines. In 1764 the bowl-shaped property nestled into the fold of the Upper Douro valley at a big bend in the river had been given the name Quinta de Roriz, and it has been producing wine ever since.
Like most of the historical Douro estates, Roriz has always been known for its Porto but Roriz was one of the first producers to export its wines to Europe, thanks to particularly enterprising ownership. Starting in 1815, the estate was owned by a member of the van Zeller family until the estate was acquired last year by the Symington wine empire, currently the largest landowners in the Douro.Made up of a blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barrroca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Tinto Cão."Dark garnet in color, this wine smells of rich blackberry and mulberry fruit, with a dark black cherry undercurrent. In the mouth the wine has a wonderful dry richness and smoothness on the palate, and a brightness thanks to excellent acidity. Flavors of black cherry, wet earth, mulberries, and cassis rumble around through a long finish." Sensational red thats well worth trying.

An important northern Italian varietal that calls the region of Piedmont home. The Dolcetto ("little sweet one" in Italian) ripens very early and thus provides an excellent every day alternative to the more powerful Nebbiolos that the region is famous for. Dolcetto ripens early and grows well on the more northerly slopes in Piedmont, where it is said to prefer the limestone marl soil type. Dolcetto wines have a very full pigment as well as aromas and flavors of cherries, plums, almonds and anise. They have low acidity levels and are delicious young though they may age gracefully for up to ten years.

One of the most important Italian grapes, the Barbera produces half of all the red wine found in northern Italy. Barbera is productive and grows very well in warm to hot climates. Known for its low tannins and high acidity (hard to acheive in hotter climes) the Barbera can range from light and tart to hearty and robust, factors which are determined by the age of the vines and the amount of oak ageing. Flavors and aromas of cherries, plums, red currants and raspberries are common.

This white from the Loire valley in Northern France. Pierre and Monique Luneau-Papin are among those Muscadet vignerons offering a range of different bottles from individual micro-climates. This is from his old vine , low yielding muscadet grapes and is lees aged ( sur lie ). On the nose it has citrus fruits and minerals on the nose, with orange zest and white flower accents. Full and fleshy, almost plush with spicy citrus and quince flavors, bright firming acidity, and a finishing white pepper note. Sensational with raw oysters or sashimi.

A blend of Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz from Portugal, where some amazingly great reds are coming from their indigenous grape varieties. The world renowned Symington family ( owners of Grahams and Dows port ) produce this wine from their magnificant organically farmed vineyard sites along the Duoro River. This was a bit star last time we brought this in and bang for your buck its superb. From vineyards over 25 yrs old."Intensely aromatic, with powerful aromas of plums and raspberries, combined with layers of lifted floral scents, and finishing with a vanilla spice. Full bodied with an excellent fleshy palate packed with flavours of blackberry and hints of fresh herbssuch as mint and spicy cinnamon notes.
