Beautiful delicate pink salmon colour that the good french bandol roses attain. Carol Bunn, the winemaker maintains minimal skin contact is the answer together with good quality fruit and a focus on rose as a serious wine- not a by product!. The 2011 vintage was made from estate-grown Pinot Noir, hand harvested in the Cromwell Basin, Central Otago, and 20% fermented in seasoned oak casks. Pale pink, it is mouthfilling, with fresh, strong stawberry, spice and peach flavours and a slightlly creamy texture.

Vin de Pays de la Principaute d'Orange is the Vin de Pays de Zone title for red, white and rose wines from the area around the town of Orange, at the very southern end of the Rhone Valley in southern France. This zone lies just north of the junction between the eastern Languedoc and Provence. Made from predominately Grenache this is a beautiful pale salmon, dry European rose. Produced by the excellent Rhone producer, Janasse. Mouthilling and vivacious, with strawberry and spice flavours showing excellent complexity, freshness and harmony. Delicious.

Normally $24. Made from selected Pinot Noir grapes from their Lowburn Vineyard. A serious dry styled rose with medium weight, balanced acidity and a crisp clean finish. Pale pink in colour with lifted strawberrys, raspberries, candied apples and cream on the nose, with flavours of red berries, nectarine, pears and a hint of creme brulee on the palate. Great summer buying from an excellent producer.

Normally $23. Bone dry rose from 100% hand picked malbec and whole bunch pressed. Partial malolatic fermentation adds texture to the palate. The aromas are of blackberry bush withs hints of red berry. The palate is red berry with a soft texture from having low acidity balancing the dryness and minerality of the wine. The wine finishes clean and fresh. Top rose from an immaculate producer.

Dry rose produced from predominately Pinot noir fruit. “Sophie’s Rose, so named after Sophie Findlay of Zambesi who helped design INVIVO’s unique branding, is alluring at first glance. The wine has Beautiful Rose petal colour and aromas for crushed strawberries with a hint of tropical fruit and citrus. The palate is vibrant and full in the mouth with pronounced berry and citrus and sweetness only to balance acidity.
