This sells in the States for USD40.00. Roederer Estate Anderson Valley Brut builds on the 200-year winemaking tradition established by Champagne Louis Roederer in France. The first California sparkling wine produced by Roederer, the Anderson Valley Brut has established a reputation as one of California's premier sparklers. It is superb and has had huge reviews.
"Nothing quite matches Champagne in either quality or price, but few other bubblies come close, like Roederer Estate, made in California's enigmatic Anderson Valley by the same firm that produces the sumptuous Cristal in France." New York Times
"A tremendous sparkler that is bold, rich and complex, loaded with ripe pear and hazelnut shadings. Provides the kind of sophistication and finesse you usually have to pay two or three times as much to enjoy." 92/100 Wine Spectator.

Normally $37.00 and great buying for a vintage aged Methode. "Highfield makes a richer style of sparkling, with weight added to the wine through its extended time on yeast lees and partial fermentation in oak. The 2007 is a particularly fine example, with powerful notes of toasted spice bread counterpoised by a brisk grapefruit acidity." NZ Herald.

Normally $29. The beautiful low alcohol bubbly ( 5.5% ) alternative for summer. Owned by Antinori and made from 100% Moscato Bianco grapes from selected vineyards in Treiso, near the town of Asti in Piedmont. After crushing, the must is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, to preserve the typical Moscato freshness and fruitiness and the ferment is stopped to keep the alcohol level down.
"Pale yellow in color with fine perlage, this Moscato offers typical aromas of peach with hints of honey and hawthorne. On the palate, it is full, dense, vigorous, and elegant with a pleasantly fresh finish."

Top Champagne in the over $100 section in Cuisine and listed at $427- $459 in the Cuisine. A major deal on this top class champagne. 95/100 from Parker who writes "The 1999 Brut Blanc de Blancs Comtes de Champagne is sourced exclusively from Grand Cru villages. A small portion of the wine is aged in barrel. The 1999 is an absolutely delicious Comtes de Champagne that needs to be opened at least an hour or two in advance to show at its finest. Smoke, citrus, mint and flowers are some of the nuances that emerge from this fresh, fragrant Champagne. Deceptively lithe on the palate, the wine blossoms with air as it fills out with endless layers of perfumed fruit. The wine can be enjoyed today, even if it comes across as a touch sweet. With time, that sweetness will develop into the liqueur-like perfume that makes older Comtes de Champagne so irresistibly alluring. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2029.
