SOLD AS A 3 BOTTLE ORIGINAL PRESENTATION CASE (equivalent to $260/bottle).
"The 2004 Aro is 70% Tempranillo and 30% Graciano. Sourced from the estate’s oldest vines, the wine is barrel-fermented and aged for 18 months in new French oak. Opaque purple-colored, it offers an uplifting nose of pain grille, crushed stone, spice box, espresso, licorice, and assorted black fruits. Opulent and layered, the wine has superb depth, great concentration and a very long finish. Give it 8-10 years in the cellar and drink it through 2040." 98/100 - Robert Parker

Elsewhere $27. This is a methode that we have sold pallets and pallets of because Hunters age the wine far longer than the average methode and this gives the wine that yeasty character that all good bubblys should display. Miru Miru is the Maori term for bubbles. This is one of the few NZ sparkling wines to include the champagne grape varity Pinot Meunier in its blend, although at 5% it plays a relatively minor role to chardonnay ( 58% ) and pinot noir ( 37% ). 5 stars in Cuisine. "Rich and complex, the toasty, nutty nose introduces a full throttle sparkling wine of real weight and power. The palate has great length and a vibrant, clean finish. A broader bubbly for those who enjoy a big mouthfeel." Cuisine.

Normally $29. The beautiful low alcohol bubbly ( 5.5% ) alternative for summer. Owned by Antinori and made from 100% Moscato Bianco grapes from selected vineyards in Treiso, near the town of Asti in Piedmont. After crushing, the must is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, to preserve the typical Moscato freshness and fruitiness and the ferment is stopped to keep the alcohol level down.
"Pale yellow in color with fine perlage, this Moscato offers typical aromas of peach with hints of honey and hawthorne. On the palate, it is full, dense, vigorous, and elegant with a pleasantly fresh finish."

From a single vineyard plot that straddles the chianti classico boundary. This super tuscan has been produced since 1983.The average age of the vines is now over 50 years. "The 2003 ( 100% Sangiovese ) is perhaps slightly weightier and fresher than the Rancia. Made in a more flashy and opulent style, it exhibits a primary quality to its super-ripe red fruit, with notable intensity on the palate and plenty of grip on the finish. It will benefit from several years of cellaring to integrate its new oak. Fontalloro is made from a combination of vineyards located in both Chianti Classico and Colli Sensi appellations. The presence of sand in the latter terroir gives Fontalloro its more open personality. Anticapated maturity 2009-2015." R.Parker

"Craggy Range's flagship Syrah demonstrates how a top producer can, through selection and good viticulture, produce a great wine from a challenging vintage. This is the most accessible Le Sol since the first vintage in 2001 but it still offers great power and depth. A silken texture envelopes plum, spice and dark berry flavours." 93/100 Bob Campbell
