One of Metro Magazine's 100 Wines for Summer "The south of France is home to many blush or rose wines and here is a classic example. A pale salmon colour, with delicate blossom and raspberry aromas, the palate is poised, earthy and just off dry, a nice degree of bitterness holding things in check".

Pale gold with aromas of limes and dried apricots. Lively mandarin and citrus intermingle with a hint of lanolin on the luscious, honeyed palate. Cleansing acidity counterbalances the rich sweetness of this wine, which finishes with the crispness of a grapefruit.

Normally $80. 5 Stars in Cuisine "Veuve Clicquot trademark egg-yolk yellow non-vintage label is immediately recognisable. The wine behind is typically smooth, with cashew, stone fruits, vanilla cream and biscuity touches worked into a lush, satisfying, complex package. Although a Brut style, it has the typical light thread of sweetness that marks the house, yet remains clean and tangy."

Normally $34. "The non-vintage Methode Traditionelle Sparkling is sourced from Gibbston and Bendigo, displays a captivating nose of oyster shell, orange-blossom and granite; the palate very well-balanced with good acidity and touches of lemon zest, green apple and just a faint hint of elderflower on the bone-dry finish. I doubt you will find a better non-vintage New Zealand sparkler." 90/100 Robert Parkers Wine Advocate

Normally $230. Beautifully presented in a magnificant leaf shaped leather lined gift box .The 2004 vintage of La Grande Dame, the quintessence of the Veuve style, reaches a peak of refinement, without losing its legendary strength produced by a blend including nearly two-thirds of Pinot Noir. This aromatic, impressively complex bouquet is confirmed in the mouth. On the palate, the wine is clear-cut and pure, perfectly balanced with a delightful silky smoothness. La Grande Dame 1998, with its lacelike construction, has a long, lively, and structured finish. This wine has unbelievable ageing potential.

This sells in the States for USD40.00. Roederer Estate Anderson Valley Brut builds on the 200-year winemaking tradition established by Champagne Louis Roederer in France. The first California sparkling wine produced by Roederer, the Anderson Valley Brut has established a reputation as one of California's premier sparklers. It is superb and has had huge reviews.
"Nothing quite matches Champagne in either quality or price, but few other bubblies come close, like Roederer Estate, made in California's enigmatic Anderson Valley by the same firm that produces the sumptuous Cristal in France." New York Times
"A tremendous sparkler that is bold, rich and complex, loaded with ripe pear and hazelnut shadings. Provides the kind of sophistication and finesse you usually have to pay two or three times as much to enjoy." 92/100 Wine Spectator.

This was one of the highlight wines at our Craggy Range tasting- its sensational. "Pale greenish straw in colour. Aromas of marmalade, fresh cut orange, citrus zest and hints of baking spices and orange pekoe tea. The palate remains fresh and is loaded with ripe citrus, mango and stonefruit flavours.
Concentrated and succulent with generous natural
sweetness and balanced acidity. A fine powdery textural line leads to a long juicy finish."
