One of Metro Magazine's 100 Wines for Summer "Marsanne is a Rhone Valley variety that has been planted in Australia, in particular in Victoria's Goulburn Valley, for many years. This is a light, early drinking, fresh example, but still shows the sappy intensity and earthy texture that is typical for the variety. A great match with Mediterranean dishes and spicy foods".

Heathcote is a persoanl favourite area for us because of their intense, smooth peppery style. From the stable of LMVH ( who own Cloudy Bay, Cape Mentelle, Veuve Cliquot etc ) wineries this is a stunner out of Heathcote. "This young shiraz ( with a smidge of Viognier ) from one of Victoria's most exciting red wine regions opens with vibrant black cherry and blueberry aromas, trimmed in spice and subtle, toasty oak. It has an appealing Marmitey richness, good intensity, smooth texture and ripe friendly tannins. Easy to like with beef fillet."

Incredible consistent results for a wine that was $24 and now is a steal at this price. "Rich, with elegant and supple tannins, this Rhone inspired blend is an enigmatic blend of cool- climate spicy Shiraz, tempered by the savoury tannins of Mouvedre. It delivers aromas and flavours of blackberry, pepper and spice combined with the elegant integration of French oak.
