"Overshadowed by its famous stablemate ( Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay ), this regional blend is a fne Chardonnay in its own right. Grown at Upper Moutere ( mostly ), but also at Kina, on the coast, and at Brightwater on the Waimea Plains, it is fermented with indigenous yeasts in French oak casks, and given a full, softeneing malolatic fermentation. The 2010 is rich and very vibrant. Youthful, with a distinct hint of butterscotch it is a crisp, peachy and slightly spicy, with finely balanced oak, good acid drive and invitingly fragrant bouquet. 4 ½ Stars M.Cooper"

Neudorf is one of New Zealand's top wineries..wines suffused with minerality and nervosite " Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
“I cannot think of another New Zealand wine producer that has been making top wines across their entire range as consistently as Neudorf over three decades. Chardonnay is the star with Pinot Noir, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc very close behind.” – Bob Campbell MW
A wine with a serious reputation which of course increases the pressure on the vineyard and winery team. Once again the Moutere vineyard has delivered the goods.

The wine has a sense of "wholeness" - lemon /lime in colour, minerally citrus on the nose softened by pretty lavender powder puff notes, with billowing fruit scudding across the palate - mandarins, limes and oranges. The overall impression is dry, refined and elegant.

A top pinot from one of NZ's finest wineries. 94/100 from Bob Campbell who writes "Intense, powerful and yet supremely elegant Pinot Noir with cherry, mineral, spice and nutty oak flavours. Long and linear - very classy wine that displays many subtle flavours on its lengthy finish. Accessible now but with good cellaring potential."
