"This is one of the most highly respected estates in the Cotes du Rhone. Almost every insider speaks of l’Oratoire Saint-Martin, run by Frederic and Francois Alary, as an example of a perfectly managed, impeccably manicured vineyard as well as meticulous winemaking."
R.Parker.
"Similarly styled, the dark ruby/plum/purple-colored 2009 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Cairanne Cuvee Prestige offers aromas of figs, roasted Provencal herbs, forest floor, black cherries and black currants.89/100 Parker
Probably the reference point for high quality Cairanne, this excellent estate has received many fine reviews from me in the past."

This is one of those true gems of the Cotes du Rhone and unfortunately we only get allocated a very small parcel of it. "Domain de l'Oratoire St-Martin is one of the Southern Rhone Valley's most conspicuous overachievers, making wines that are far above their humble appellations. All of their wines go into the bottle with no filtration and only a light fining. This is the type of estate that brings smiles to consumers who happen upon their wines. They are reasonably priced and qualitatively equivalent to wines selling at two or three times the price. This outstanding estate has been making fine wines for nearly as long as I have been writing The Wine Advocate.
" R.Parker.
The latest tasting note we have is from the 07 vintage which is similar in style to the 09
"The 2007 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Cairanne Reserve des Seigneurs is a blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre, and 10% Syrah. It is a soft, plump, fleshy offering displaying succulent black cherry and fig-like fruit, surprising precociousness, and a lovely, textured, full-bodied, mouthfeel. Another classic bargain from the southern Rhone, this Provencal red can be enjoyed over the next 5-7 years." 90/100 Parker

Here is the 2007 review- no 2008 review yet. " I reviewed the 2007 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Cairanne Haut-Coustias in issue 181, but I had it twice over the last few months, and I was blown away by it, rating it even higher than the lofty score it received last year. Moreover, it is a late-released wine, so hopefully, readers will be able to find a bottle or two. This dense ruby/purple-colored Cairanne (which includes a lot of Mourvedre intermixed with Grenache and Syrah) offers up big, sweet aromas of black raspberries, kirsch, pepper, roasted meats, and bouquet garni. Full-bodied and dense with exceptional purity and seemingly more texture, depth, and length than I remember from last year (and it was impressive then), this 2007 has developed into a big time sleeper of the vintage. It should drink well for 5-6 years." 94/100 Parker
