"A touch of reduction makes the nose a bit more difficult to read yet glimpses of dark fruit and earth can be discerned and which continue onto the rich, full and very serious, indeed brooding flavors that possess excellent mid-palate concentration culminating in a very firm and mouth coating finish."90-92 Burghound

"Ironically given that Chambertin is every bit a "cool" terroir as is Latricieres, this is slightly riper with ultra fresh and airy red pinot fruit liberally laced with earth and underbrush notes that continue onto the rich, full and equally serious medium full-bodied flavors that are textured, intense and perhaps even more mineral-driven, all culminating in a hugely long finish."91-93 burghound
"Bright, medium red. Less pure and more animal now but then this is very reduced and in need of a racking. Bigger, rounder and suppler than the Latricieres, with a stronger mineral component and more dimension but less obvious sweetness of fruit showing today. Very closed in the middle, but strong on the finish, showing some wild red fruits and firm but ripe tannins"91-93 Tanzer

"A supremely elegant, fresh and exceptionally pure nose of red pinot fruit with a subtle mix of undertones including minerals, iron-infused earth and underbrush leads to sweet, precise and detailed medium-bodied flavors that pack real punch as the focus and intensity are remarkable and I really like the underlying sense of energy here. This isn't quite as big and powerful as the Cham but it's finer with excellent depth."90-92 Burghound
