Normally $35. 91/100 in Robert Parkers Wine Advocate which writes "Fermented in Burgundy barriques and puncheons, 18% new, the 2010 Petrie Chardonnay gives expressive notes of apricot tart, mango and pineapple with hints of lightly toasted bread, cashews and butterscotch. Medium bodied and generously fruited on the palate, it gives tons of ripe tropical fruit and toasty flavors with crisp acidity to balance and a long finish. Drink it now to 2015."

"One of the greatest of all New Zealand wines .The grapes are drawn from numerous sites, including the estate vineyard, planted in 1980, and the vines, ranging up to 29 years old. The 2009 was voted NZ's Top NZ Pint in the Good Australian Wine Guide and a 92/100 from Parkers Wine Advocate. Just released the 2010 is looking superb "Dark cherry melds with bright, lifted red fruit aromas and hints of spice in this exotic 2010 Pinot Noir. Floral notes are present too; old-fashioned violets and a touch of rose. This vibrant pinot has a sinuous, savoury spine of tannin that spreads out to a long, silky finish. Significant vine age, especially from the 30 year-old blocks, expresses itself in depth, breadth and complexity of character; a distinctive ‘sense of place’ so evident in Ata Rangi Pinot Noir. Vine age also contributes markedly to the consistency of quality year after year."

A classy blend of Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc with an appealing scented aroma and restrained berry flavours. A solid backbone of firm, fine tannins give the wine assured cellaring potential.

Normally $22. Juicy raspberries, succulent strawberries and cream, this crisp, fresh Merlot-based Rose is irresistibly more-ish. Although technically dry, the fruit ripeness and weight suggests a hint of sweetness which is beautifully balanced with the other components in the wine. Intended for drinking now and through the 2010 summer and autumn, it's perfect for lunch-time or a late afternoon tipple with friends. Great to stock up for the holiday season, always remembering to serve well chilled.

"Pinot gris from the Lismore block always achieves optimum flavours later in the season, at around 26 Brix. As a result, we pick relatively late to achieve a wine closer to the plump and luscious style of pinot gris made famous in the Alsace region of France, rather than the leaner, generally bone-dry ‘pinot grigio’ version, popular in the north of Italy. The long finale to a wonderful season has delivered a very pure fruit expression of Pinot Gris – bronze skinned pear, figs and poached quince, with floral aromas of jasmine and a hint of baked custard. The wine is rich, but remains finely structured and beautifully balanced. With 11g/l residual sugar, it is gorgeous with Thai and other Asian influenced food, or simply enjoy as an aperitif."
