"Deep garnet-purple in color, 2009 Shiraz was matured for 12 months in new, one and two year old American hogsheads. It gives a deep garnet purple color and intense notes of crushed ripe blackberries, blueberry preserves, baking spices and peppermint oil. Medium-full bodied, it has a generous amount of straightforward dark berry and mint flavors with medium-high acid and a medium level of rounded tannins. The finish is long. Drinking now, it should remain good through 2014." Parker
