these luscious and powerful wines have not only wowed the home market, they have also gathered the very highest accolades from the US wine media. The vineyard was established in McLaren Vale, South Australia in 1988 by a group of doctors from nearby Adelaide. The grapes were initially sold to other producers until the launch of the Fox Creek label. The star attractions are the reds. These wines are wonderfully expressive of the bold fruitiness and salty, earthy flavours that characterise the best wines of McLaren Vale. The reserve wines in particular are wines of enormous depth and power. Indeed, Robert Parker claims that the Reserve Shiraz "would make even Grange look wimpish". These are wines that will continue to develop in complexity with age. "The flagship Reserve Shiraz offers both super-ripe flavour as well as genuine finesse and balance." Jeremy Oliver."lifted complex aromas of berry, cherry, blackcurrant fruit, chocolate and mocha. The palate has lashings of fruitcake, rum and raisin and chocolate. The structure is very rich, thick and concentrated with ripe complex fruit" Winemakers Note.
